Alexa Park Las Vegas: A Neil Diamond Tribute

The legendary Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” Vegas residency show CONTINUES ON in the “Alexis Park Modern Showrooms” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.

Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.

More than just being one of the best-selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also created and performed the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences worldwide through tribute artist Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Google “who is the top Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In May 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to Las Vegas, where, two years later, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett started his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from cover band frontman to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his childhood heroes.

In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked Sweet Caroline live Las Vegas tribute show by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.

What was meant to be a limited run turned into a three-year residency.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to create his own tribute production.

He began a nationwide performance schedule, building a large and loyal following along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues that typically host major artists.

Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., near the Las Vegas Strip.
